The Lake.
Around the lake the beasts of nature meet to drink & mingle.
There are those, which cautiously hurry to get it done, fearful of
others who are there not only to drink, but to prey on the first.
There are those which come for whatever leftovers there be from the
actions of the predators, or to feed from the carcasses of those
which have ceased to live.
The beasts study one another, as to best be able to take advantage of
one another, existence depends on this.
Man is amongst the beasts, and he too studies them all, copying the
different species behaviours, adapting them to his own needs, making
them his own, becoming.
Thus there will be predators, scavengers, collectors & prey among
them, seeking to find the niche which will harbour the individual,
and sustain his existence.
Always competing for the resources, complex relationships of live &
let die - unstable alliances, develop over time.
Mostly no contracts are written, no handshakes exchanged, this taking
place sub-conciously, governed by the genetically inherited behaviour
patterns of the individual.
Our self-awareness tells us who we think we are, and what we go for,
but will not easilly reveal to us why we believe in these mental
projections.
Our differences is a tool of survival for our species as a whole,
ensuring that we fill out all available niches of the enviroment, and
not offering any promise of community, justice, peace.
These, are constructs of our minds, primarilly designed to lure the
competitors into a state of confusion, as to unfocus their view from
the resources.
This doesn´t necessarilly mean that concepts like community, justice
& peace are hoaxes, they are part of the common language, it might
just mean, that the meaning of such concepts are always negotiable,
since they are without fixed values.
